We loved our time on the east coast with Danielle’s family. Now it was time to zip back across America to get back to our RV in Cali and continue the RV Life. “The journey is my home.”
Rehoboth Beach Delaware is a great vacation destination. It has a classic east coast Boardwalk, great nightlife, and beautiful Cape Henlopen State Park. If you’re into shopping there is a massive outlet mall.
Gordon’s Pond in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is a scenic area that offers a freshwater pond that goes right up to the ocean. It’s right in the path of the yearly bird migrations. There is a very well kept bike path that follows the pond shoreline.
Chicago is such a beautiful city and I personally have had some great memories here. It booms in the summer with people running, biking and getting into shape on the world famous Lake Shore Drive. It’s a 15 mile drive that cuts between Lake Michigan and Downtown Chicago.
Our trip to Ohio was random and spontaneous. Many times the best adventures aren’t planned and you just have to “go with it”. This was one of those adventures.
I grew up in Princeton MN and spent a lot of time growing up on local lakes and rivers. My dad use to race canoes when he was younger so my 2 brothers and I grew up canoeing. Recently my brother has been hooked on Kayaking and he joined us on a trip down the Rum River.
I LOVE road trips across the country. We parked the RV at a storage unit in Morgan Hill, CA and took off in the Mazda for my home town of Princeton, MN.
Santa Cruz is renowned for its surfing culture, especially at Cowells Beach, ideal for beginners. For more experienced surfers, Lighthouse Field State Beach offers challenging waves, though it’s risky due to its dangerous cliffs. The author enjoyed a scenic surf session, capturing memorable moments with seals and fellow surfers, promising a video update soon.
